ABOUT JASON
🧔🏻♂️ Background
I have been writing and maintaining scalable front-end and back-end software for over 8 years in a professional capacity. I thrive when given new challenges, diving into logs and debugging issues, working with new languages, and solving interesting problems. My focus is on architecting scalable infrastructure, crafting efficient developer tools, and building platforms.
🛠️ Tech Savvy & Focus
Today, my primary focus is on accelerating agentic development — using my extensive experience in front-end engineering, back-end architectures, and systems design as the foundation for building and orchestrating AI-driven agentic workflows and systems.
Throughout my career, I've worked extensively across the full technology stack: proficient in front-end frameworks and standards like TypeScript, React, and GraphQL, and engineering robust back-ends with TypeScript (Node.js, serverless architectures), Ruby on Rails, Go, and Rust. Professionally, I've built and maintained CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, developed custom CLI utilities, configured NGINX and Envoy as reverse proxies, and operated production Kubernetes infrastructure.
🔧 Tech Explorations & Hardware
Beyond my professional work, I immerse myself in various tech-related pursuits. These include CAD (Fusion 360), 3D printing, and exploring the intersection of hardware and software by wiring up circuits with ESP32, Arduino, or Raspberry Pi for automated control. These projects enhance my holistic understanding of technology and give me a more practical, hands-on perspective when I design software.
🚀 Side Projects & Homelab
Notable builds include SpendSeer, a custom financial management and transaction intelligence tool; automated pool heating and monitoring systems; personal Kubernetes platforms (Kube Manager); and dabbling in game development (both single-player and multiplayer).
I maintain a personal Homelab environment running Proxmox, Talos Kubernetes, Ceph, Cloudflare tunnels, and Grafana/Loki/Tempo observability pipelines. In fact, this website itself is hosted on my homelab infrastructure.
